Historic England is looking for a motivated junior designer to join the team. Collectively we have a passion to create digital experiences that users just love. We want to evolve our offer to increasingly inspire and motivate our users, for them to be ever more engaged with us and with heritage. This is a fantastic opportunity to expand your skills and experience.

As the public body that champion`s England`s historic environment, we help people understand, value and care for a diverse range of cultural records from the stone-age to the contemporary. We also continue to support English Heritage through a shared services agreement, as they manage a range of historic places across the country as a charity.

This is an excellent development opportunity to join the team that builds and maintains Historic England`s digital offer. As part of a team with skills in UX, design and development you will develop the Historic England website - how the site works and how it looks. You will primarily focus on the appearance and design of the website, working with the Web Designer to refine Historic England`s visual presentation so that it is memorable and appealing to it`s audiences.

You will have some web design experience with creative and innovative design skills and the ability to deliver designs to specification. However, most importantly you will have some exciting examples in your portfolio and a desire to learn.
