Christ Church Spitalfields

Step inside Hawksmoor's architectural masterpiece where the City of London meets the East End.

Object:

Throughout London History Day Christ Church Spitalfields will be open so that visitors will be able to see inside one of Nicholas Hawksmoor’s architectural treasures. Set where the City of London meets the East End, Christ Church Spitalfields is a Grade I listed church which was restored in 2004. Christ Church has a growing congregation who wish to see Jesus loved, churches grown and society transformed. With the re-development of the Crypt areas into meeting spaces and a luxurious cafe, this building is both a monument and a space from which the church can continue to serve it's community.
