138 Chester Road, Walton, Warrington

These cottages (attached at right-anles to Nos. 140-146) are a good example of 'Tudor Revival' architecture and were built in c1910, probably by Hamlyn and Wright of Warrington, for Sir Gilbert Greenall. The Greenall family had made their money from the brewing industry and owned much land in this area.
