8-9 Abbey Place, Thorney, Peterborough

This cottage and post office were built in c1860-70. They are built in an ornate Gothic-Jacobean style of architecture. They were built by S.S. Toulon for the 9th Duke of Bedford who owned the estate that included the village of Thorney.
