Abbots Langley and Leavesden Hospital, Hertfordshire

Industrial sites influenced many other areas of architecture. This hospital, built in 1870, was originally the St Pancras Industrial School. Its use of the High Victorian Gothic style is based on that of the London railway station, St Pancras, which was built in the previous decade.
