Looking along Wine Street past cleared bomb damage to All Saints' Church. The photographer’s notes state: ‘St Mary-le-Port's (tower only) on left, spire of St Nicholas's; High Street; All Saints'; Corn Street; pinnacles of St Stephen's just visible; and Christ Church on extreme right from Wine Street, Bristol.' Bristol suffered extensive bomb damage during the war. A lot of restoration and redevelopment took place in the 1950s and 60s.
