Birnbeck Island Pier, Weston-Super-Mare, Avon
A view looking down on Birnbeck Island Pier and out to sea. The Pier was designed by Eugenius Birch in 1867. It is a cast iron structure which houses a lifeboat station at its seaward end; unusally, it incorporates an island into its design.
