Boer War Memorial, Cornhill, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk

The monument was created by the sculptor Arthur Walker. It stands 'as a memorial to Suffolk soldiers who lost their lives in the South African War 1899-1902' (as inscribed on the statue). Each face of the monument is panelled. The panels on the south, east and west are filled with the names of those killed. It lies on an island at the centre of Cornhill.
