Crane Base, Canon's Road, Bristol

A stone drum which was formerly the base of a steam crane used for moving heavy loads. It was built around 1890 from Pennant stone. The wharf where it stands is dated 1889 on bollards. It is in Bristol's Floating Harbour area.
