Green Lane Works, Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Green Lane Works was established in 1795, but the parts that exist today form a complex of 19th-century buildings. The site was not a steel works as such but specialised in the production of stoves. Access to the yard was via this grand triumphal arch, which was constructed in 1860 to display the company's importance in the town.
