Wall painting of St George in the chapel at Farleigh Hungerford Castle. The Chapel of St. Leonard was built in the mid 14th century. It was built as the parish church and was originally outside the castle's defences. The painting of St George, unusually shown standing, dates from c1445. It was commissioned by Sir Walter Hungerford. It is one of only four known examples of its type in England. The castle is in the care of English Heritage (2011).
