Includes: No.1 OXFORD STREET. 3 houses, now offices, and attached fencing. 1858. By TC Hine of Nottingham. Restored late C20. Red brick, with yellow brick and painted ashlar dressings. Roofs not visible behind diaper-work parapet. Plinth, quoins, tile frieze, eaves cornice. Corner block, 3 storeys and 3 storeys plus basement; 4 x 4 windows. Windows are mainly original margin light sashes in moulded eared and shouldered surrounds. Regent Street front has to left a projecting corner bay defined by quoins, with a canted bay window with parapet, 3 lights, and above, a single window on each floor. To right, a recessed block, 3 windows. Ground floor has to right a moulded 6-panel door with segment-arched eared surround and wrought-iron fanlight, flanked by parapeted square bay windows with tripartite sashes. To left, a small glazing bar window, then a 6-panel door in a simple surround. Outside, a restored fence enclosing the garden and area, with cast-iron posts linked by chains. Oxford Street front, almost symmetrical, has a central bay with a moulded round-arched doorway and fanlight to left, under a segmental pediment. To its right, a tripartite sash. Above, 2 windows on each floor. Projecting end bays have canted parapeted bay windows, 3 lights. Above, to left, a single window on each floor. To right, a single sash to left of the bay window, and above, a tripartite sash and above again, a single window.
