Description

Historic England is looking for a motivated and experienced UX designer to join the team. Collectively we have a passion to create digital experiences that users just love. By putting users at the centre of everything we do, we hope to create engaging strategies and digital experiences that motivate our users to be even more engaged.

As the public body that champion`s England`s historic environment, we help people understand, value and care for a diverse range of cultural records from the stone-age to the contemporary. We also continue to support English Heritage through a shared services agreement, as they manage a range of historic places across the country as a charity.

You will align UX values with the results desired by the organisation, helping to define the objectives that matter to both the team and the business. Looking after the design and development team, you will be involved in optimising all aspects of our digital offer, in particular taking the lead on optimising the user experience of our website.

As a practising UX professional you will have experience in digital user experience (UX) design for desktop and mobile and some first-hand experience in user research.
