Church of St Mary the Virgin and St John the Baptist, Church Street, Rothley - Charnwood

The Church of St Mary and St John is believed to be of Norman foundation and there are contributions from C12, C13 and C15. The chancel was rebuilt and the church comprehensively restored in 1877/8. Tower masonry repairs were undertaken in 2015 with a Heritage Lottery Fund Repair Grant for Places of Worship. Work revealed that tower roof coverings are in poor condition and are in need of replacement.
