Church of St Nicholas, Salthouse - North Norfolk

On an eminence, broadside to the sea. C13 and C14, with much dating from the late C15. The tower has been pointed in cement mortar and rendered in cement internally at the base stage. The turret stair is similarly constructed and displays many vertical cracks and cracks on the stair treads. In urgent need of repair. Furthermore, the belfry louvres require modification to reduce the amount of salt-laden moisture entering the structure. A Heritage Lottery Fund Grants for Places of Worship grant was awarded in 2016 and the repairs are on-going in 2018.
