Church of St Mary and St Laurence, The Street, Great Bricett - Mid Suffolk
Formerly the monastic church of the Priory of St Leonard, founded 1114-19. The Prior's Lodgings and remains of the cloister also survive. The walls are much early, possibly original fabric with traces of medieval wallpaintings and decoration. Tiled roofs in poor condition and leaking. A first National Lottery Heritage Fund Grants for Places of Worship grant application was unsuccessful in 2015; a second application in 2017 was successful. Repairs are currently in progress and due to complete by summer 2020.
