Church of St Margaret, Acton Scott - Shropshire (UA)

A medieval church consisting of a nave with a west tower and a lower chancel. Subsequent additions include an C18 south porch and a C19 north chapel built for the Stackhouse family of Acton Scott Hall. The chapel has a Gothic plaster ceiling with rib vaulting and square bosses but is at risk due to the poor condition of the hipped slate roof above it. The chancel slate roof covering is also failing, the rainwater goods to both roofs require repair as does the surface water drainage system. The congregation are exploring funding to carry out repairs.
