Church of All Saints, Church Hill, Sherburn in Elmet - Selby

Medieval parish church, from C12 to C16 with east end restored by Anthony Salvin in 1857. Magnesian limestone masonry is very badly eroded to clerestories, east and west windows and spiral stair to the belfry. Localised defects to glazing, rainwater goods and south aisle roof. Repair works to the south elevation and spiral stair were carried out in 2015 with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund Grants for Places of Worship scheme. A further phase of work is required to fully repair the church and a second Heritage Lottery Fund Grants for Places of Worship Repair grant was accepted in 2018.
