Flass House, Crosby Ravensworth, Eden - Yorkshire Dales (NP)

Classical country house, built 1848-61 by Gray (to 1854) and Mair (post1854) for Lancelot and Wilkinson Dent. Of grey stone to the garden front and of stucco with stone dressings to the Italianate entrance front. Slate roofs. The interior is centred on a double- height galleried hall. The house has suffered some deterioration, but the site is now secure and is closely monitored.
