Church of St Bartholomew, Whittington - Cotswold

Norman in origin; restoration by Waller around 1872 included roofs, porch and vestry, and removal of rood screen formerly dividing nave from chancel. South chapel possibly late C16-17. South aisle probably C18 rebuilt on smaller scale incorporating C12 elements. Stone slate roofs are in extremely poor condition and are likely to date from the 1872 restoration. Heritage Lottery Fund Grant for Places of Worship awarded in 2017 for repairs to roofs. Project development underway in early 2018 and work on the roofs is anticipated to start in late 2018.
