Church of St Peter and St Paul, Crown Street, Dagenham - Barking and Dagenham

Most of the church was rebuilt in 1800 in the Strawberry Hill Gothic style, using red brick quoins and dressings to frame ashlar and ragstone panels. A fine open-truss roof spans the nave. The chancel and north chapel are medieval, rendered over ragstone; the interior has been re-ordered. The church has been awarded a first round pass from the Heritage Lottery Fund for repairs to the tower roof and lantern as well as masonry and windows. The repairs are expected to start on site in the autumn of 2018.
