Holditch Court Tower, Thorncombe - West Dorset

This monument includes part of a fortified house situated within a farmyard. The part of the fortified house survives as a three-storeyed roofless rectangular plan tower with a projecting circular stair-turret in the south west angle and stands to a height of approximately eight metres. The tower is covered in ivy. There have been some falls of masonry into the interior. The corework in the former stair scar is exposed and decaying. Structural repairs may also be required. A project development grant is under discussion with the owner.
