Church of St Andrew, Dalton-le-Dale - County Durham (UA)

A small medieval church, St Andrew's consists of an aisleless nave and continuous chancel. It has a late-C12 north doorway. Repair works to address water ingress at the west end of the nave were completed in 2017 with a Listed Places of Worship Roof Repairs Grant. Funding was awarded in 2017, through the Heritage Lottery Fund Grants for Places of Worship scheme, for a supplementary phase of works to alleviate dampness and to conserve the deteriorating stonework of the north doorway. Those works are due to be completed in 2018.
