Church of All Saints, Church Lane, Stand - Bury
Commissioners' Church dating to 1822, thought to be Charles Barry's first building. Constructed from ashlar in a Gothic style, the church forms a striking feature within the skyline. Repair works have been completed to resolve structural movement of the tower funded under the National Lottery Heritage Fund's Grants for Places of Worship scheme. There are still considerable problems relating to the presence of embedded iron within the masonry and a further phase of repair work is required.
