Church of St James the Greater, Church Lane, Ab Kettleby - Melton

Church of C13 origin. Much historic fabric remains including mid-C13 dog-tooth and nail head ornament. The church suffered significant movement with sudden and severe cracking in isolated areas affecting many parts of church. in the late 2000s. Al National Lottery Heritage Fund grant was awarded in December 2010 for investigations and repairs. An extensive body of repair work including localised tying-in of structure was completed in June 2013. The church has since been the subject of heritage crime.
