Church of Our Lady and St Michael, attached steps, walls, gates and gatepiers, Banklands, Workington, Workington - Cumberland Council (UA)

An enormous soaring Gothic Revival church of 1873-76 by E W Pugin, and a great example of the second wave of the movement. The church is well cared for but the gable masonry of the south transept is showing rotation and its stability is in question. The church received a grant through the Listed Places of Worship Roof Repair Fund in 2015 and 2016.
