St Michael the Archangel, Den Promenade, Teignmouth - Teignbridge

The church dates from 1821 in neo-Norman style by Andrew Patley. In 1875 the Chancel by Fredric Deshom was added, followed by the Vestry in 1885. The Early English style west tower by Fulford was added in 1887-9; it has five stages with a distinctive castellated parapet with pierced panels and octagonal corner towers with spirelets. The roofs were repaired in 2011/12. Many of the windows are in poor condition, some requiring urgent conservation work. A Heritage Lottery Fund Grant for Places of Worship was granted in June 2018 for window repairs which are due for completion at the end of 2018.
