Little Toller Farmhouse, Toller Fratrum - West Dorset

Grade II* Farmhouse attributed to John Samways of Winterborne St Martin in mid C16, which contains a rare domestic example of a barrel roof intended to support a decorative plaster ceiling. The building is part of a very interesting complex of buildings including the Grade II* Stable block. Following a serious fire in July 2015 the roof and upper floor was extensively damaged. Listed building consent for reinstatement was granted and repairs commenced later in 2017. By the end of May 2018 external and structural repairs were largely finished but internal plasterwork is still to be completed.
