Church of St James, Church Street, Haslingden - Rossendale

Church of 1780, enlarged and tower added in 1872, and later altered in C19. Watershot coursed sandstone with rusticated quoins and slate roof. The interior contains many original and historically interesting fixtures and fittings. Considered at risk due to water ingress and the tower being saturated, the church has undergone repairs and undertakes an annual programme of maintenance. A minor issue exists with water ingress in the south porch.
