Church of St Helen, Church Lane, Thoroton - Rushcliffe

Church, C12 origin with C13 and C14 work. Restored and partly rebuilt in 1869 by J Hakewill. The church has numerous problems, such as heavily eroded and unstable masonry, structural faults, slipped slates and leaking rainwater goods. A Heritage Lottery Fund Grants for Places of Worship grant for urgent masonry repairs was awarded in 2015 and these were completed in 2017.
