Church of St Augustine, Hyde Park Road - Leeds
Gothic Revival church completed in 1871 on a site acquired by Leeds Church Extension Society. The three-stage tower with octagonal lantern and surmounted by a tall stone spire is a landmark on the Leeds skyline. The masonry of the tower and spire is in poor condition and high-level water ingress is an issue. An unsuccessful application to Heritage Lottery Fund's Grants for Places of Worship scheme was made in 2017.
