Church of St John, Totnes - South Hams

A 1980s church within 1830s shell following fire. Five-bay nave built of coursed grey limestone, with shallow rectangular apse and western tower. The sides of the nave have tall windows divided by buttresses, their mullions and tracery replaced c1980 with steel frames. Interior not inspected. Tower sprouting vegetation and rainwater goods in poor condition. Re-roofed within last 15 years but fibreglass windows deteriorating. The congregation has been offered a Heritage Lottery Fund Grant for Places of Worship and repairs are expected to start later in 2018.
