The Mint House, Village Street, Pevensey - Wealden

C16 timber framed hall with one of the largest C16 kitchen ranges known to survive in East Sussex. Structural movement is causing slumping of the jetty. Loss of combed plaster and wall paintings, particularly at first floor level. A full condition survey and costings, and a comprehensive programme of repairs are urgently necessary. National Lottery Heritage Fund Resilience Funding has been secured. Refurbishment of the Allen Wing has resolved water penetration and damp in the west end of the building. The Mint House Charity continues to explore means to purchase and repair the building.
