Combe Bank, Sundridge with Ide Hill / Brasted - Sevenoaks

A classical landscape garden and small park surrounding a palladian villa associated with some of the greatest artistic exponents of the early pictureque movement. Sold and divided up the house and gardens becaming a school in 1924. Numerous remant built features survive in varying condition in the gardens which suffered considerable storm damage in 1987. The garden is bisected by the M25 and development proposals, fragmented ownership and management are a threat. Historic England are working with owners and the Darent Valley Landscape Partnership to undertake a Conservation Management Plan.
