Dudley Castle, Castle Hill - Dudley

There are significant issues with the standing remains of the medieval and post-medieval castle, with localised areas of structural failure, loss of masonry and impact from invasive vegetation. In response to this Dudley Council and Zoo have produced a well thought-out and ambitious masterplan (The Castle Hill Vision) which includes a strong focus on the conservation of Dudley Castle. Historic England are working with the Council to fund assessment and survey of the castle site to help inform programmes of repair and consolidation.
