Mortuary Chapels, Bonner Hill Road - Kingston upon Thames

Symmetrical gothic-style twin chapels either side of a carriageway through the cemetery. The slate roofs are steeply pitched with a central stone spire and open octagonal lantern. The west chapel is still used for memorial purposes. There is general spalling to stonework, and vegetation growing at high level. The east chapel is currently closed owing to signs of structural movement, with cracking in masonry. The Local Authority is carrying out condition and structural surveys to better understand the extent of repair works required.
