Capitol Bingo and Social Club, Churchfield Lane - Nottingham, City of (UA)

Cinema, now Zionist Church.1936-37 by Reginald Cooper. Red brick and reconstituted stone construction. Auditorium retains most of its original features. The roof is in a very bad condition and needs repair. Water dispersal needs to be addressed. Water penetrating the interior is causing damage to the remarkable fibrous plasterwork. Some patch repairs have been undertaken. Building owners are keen to effect repairs and are looking to apply to the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Historic England Repair Grant development works underway to inform any application, subject to Covid-19 restrictions.
