Essex County Cricket Pavilion, Leyton High Road E10 - Waltham Forest
Cricket pavilion, rendered and colour washed timber frame over a brick basement in the Vernacular Revival style, built in 1886 by Richard Creed for the Essex County Cricket Club. The building currently has low-key community uses. Urgent works were carried out in 2021 to make the building water-tight and repair damaged elements, with additional works carried out through the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme. The Council is now taking forward proposals for re-use of the building for leisure purposes, progressing opportunities to fund full restoration and secure new long-term occupiers.
