Huts 1-4 in the south west Corner of Gordon School Playground, Grangehill Road SE9 - Greenwich

Four interlinked corrugated iron-clad huts erected at Gordon School during World War I to provide places for the children of munitions workers on the nearby Progress Estate. The huts have been vacant for some years and their condition is deteriorating. The iron cladding is corroding, and the linking corridor is showing signs of rainwater ingress. Rainwater goods and timber sash windows are generally in poor condition due to a lack of maintenance. There are currently no plans for re-use of the huts but the Local Authority is exploring options.
