Former Weedon Barracks, Outer Walls to Magazine Enclosure, Bridge Street, Weedon Bec - West Northamptonshire (UA)

Defensive walls with lean-to structures at east and west end of enclosure, early C19. Red brick in Flemish style with intermediate piers and stone coping. Part of an extraordinary Napoleonic military complex. Brickwork is falling away and there have been some partial collapses to both lean-to structures. Vegetation is damaging the brickwork further. The site has been underused for many years and was left in a poor condition. The magazine enclosure is now in the same ownership as the adjacent depot enclosure. Historic England has awarded grant aid for the repair of the north east bastion.
