31-37, High Street, Debenham - Mid Suffolk
Private residence containing an exceptional late C16/early C17 wall painting in the parlour. Timber frame with wattle and daub infill. There are multiple painted panels which are at risk, either of total or partial loss due to substrate failure. All panels are fragile; some are bowing out and others are held in place with temporary propping. The owner has taken proactive steps to determine scope of works. Repair is yet to be undertaken.
