Essex Redoubt at Ongar Radio Station, North Weald Bassett / Bobbingworth - Epping Forest
Late C19 redoubt consisting of early concrete structures and associated earthworks. Buildings at risk from failure of concrete and vandalism. Discussions with the owners and Local Planning Authority have centred on proposals to commission a Conservation Management Plan for beneficial re-use of the site as an outdoor activity centre in the context of local development proposals. These discussions have stalled and there has been no further progress.
