Bank Hall, Liverpool Road, Bretherton - Chorley

Country house built 1608 and extensively added to in 1832-3. The hall had been derelict since 1985. A project to convert it to apartments by Next Big Thing Developments, with grant support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, is completing in 2021. Historic England funded emergency repairs to stabilise the Prospect Tower in 2002. The Prospect Tower will be given to Heritage Trust for the North West to use as an exhibition space. Bank Hall will be removed from the Register once the flats are sold and occupied.
