Bank Hall, Liverpool Road, Bretherton - Chorley

Country house built 1608 and extensively added to in 1832-3. Derelict since 1985, but now undergoing repair. Historic England funded emergency repairs to stabilise the stair tower in 2002. Permission has been granted for residential renovation of the Hall in to apartments, with enabling development for further residential units. Once repaired, the tower will be accessible for tours. Repairs are underway in 2019. The Friends of Bank Hall continue to look after the grounds.
