Martello Tower No. 30, Winchelsea Road, Rye - Rother

Martello tower built 1806. The moat and glacis on the east side lost. Unconnected with destruction of the moat and glacis, a small housing development was built adjacent to the east. The preservation of archaeological and historical significance will be the main consideration in assessing the suitability of proposals to convert Martello towers for residential use.
