Outer walls and north east bastion, Bridge Street, Lower Weedon, Weedon Bec - West Northamptonshire (UA)

Defensive walls and bastions, early C19. Part of an extraordinary Napoleonic military complex. The whole site was underused for many years and was in poor condition before being sold in early 2013. Now home to various businesses. The owner is considering further development. A condition survey of non-beneficial elements was carried out with Historic England grant aid c. 2015. Bastion repairs were identified as a priority. Historic England awarded grant aid to further investigate the repair needs of the eastern bastions in 2020 and the north bastion will be repaired in 2021 with support.
