Camellia House, Wentworth Woodhouse, Wentworth - Rotherham

Early C19 conservatory incorporating mid-C18 section to rear, south-west of the house in the C18 and C19 gardens to Wentworth Woodhouse, which were remodelled by Humphry Repton in the early 1790s. Now the property of the Wentworth Woodhouse Preservation Trust. The condition of the Camellia House has deteriorated, in part due to vandalism, and the roof and glazing are in very bad condition. Urgent works have been carried out with DCMS grant, managed by Historic England. Historic England and National Lottery Heritage Fund grants are supporting project development, leading to repair and reuse.
