Temple of Victory with railed enclosure, Allerton Park, Flaxby - Harrogate

Summerhouse or view point, 1790, situated on a knoll in the park, to north west of the house, with extensive views from the Temple over the park and surrounding landscape. Re-roofed, cornice repaired and building made secure some years ago with grant aid from English Heritage and Harrogate Borough Council. Further repairs, including the renewal of the external joinery, are underway with the support of a grant from Allerton Park Landscape and Cultural Heritage Fund.
