Temple of Friendship, Stowe Landscape Garden, Stowe - Aylesbury Vale

Garden temple, 1739, situated in the south east corner of the pleasure gardens, close to the Palladian Bridge and with views to the north over the lake and Hawkwell Field beyond. The Tuscan portico has been consolidated and has a new roof; however the cellar and two flanking loggias remain roofless. The National Trust has recently carried out repairs to this "managed ruin" as part of a restoration project being carried out in the run up to celebrations of 30 years of National Trust guardianship in 2020.
