Keld Heads lead smeltmill and mine complex, Preston-under-Scar, Preston-under-Scar / Wensley - Richmondshire

The mine complex displays a wide range of features associated with lead exploitation and processing. The site has been mined since the C12 but the present complex dates from C18 and C19. Invasive vegetation has been removed by the owners, but repairs to the structures are yet to be undertaken.
