The Eastern Gate of The Newarke, a fortified religious college, built c1410. Last used as a regimental museum but vacant since 1999 with public access only on Heritage Open Days. No new long-term sustainable use has yet been identified but a condition survey was carried out in March 2018 and the Council intends to undertake repairs in 2019.
